BAR DON JUAN (1971) DE ANTÔNIO CALLADO: IMPASSES POLÍTICOS E ESTÉTICOS DO ROMANCE ENGAJADO

RESUMO: Este estudo interdisciplinar tem como objetivo estabelecer o diálogo com a obra de arte, privilegiando a relação entre História e Literatura, tendo como fonte o romance Bar Don Juan , que internaliza em sua trama narrativa as representações político-sociais e culturais da década de 1970, período da História recente do Brasil marcado pelo o ideal revolucionário da vanguarda intelectual (esquerda festiva), bem como pela repressão e a censura do Governo Militar no pós-golpe de 1964. Esta sintonia de Bar Don Juan com seu momento histórico, possibilita direcionar um olhar atento para o seu enredo, uma vez que a obra literária está inscrita em seu tempo e traz consigo os códigos e as referências do mundo que a ficção é capaz de abarcar, mesmo sem ter o compromisso com a verdade dos fatos e nem com realidade que a cerca.

ABSTRACT: This interdisciplinary study has the aim to establish a dialogue with the masterpiece. It emphasizes the relation between History and Literature focusing Bar Don Juan novel , which internalizes in its narrative main concern the social-political and cultural representations that in the 1970's, recent historical moment of Brazil set by the revolutionary idealism of the intellectual vanguard (“fun loving left wing”), as well as, the repression and military censorship after 1964 stroke. This linking of Bar Don Juan with its historical moment, makes it possible to guide an inner look at its plot, once the literary work is written in its time and brings with itself the codes and references of the world which the fiction is able to embrace, even without having the compromise with the truth of the facts nor with the reality that surrounds it.
