TEÓCRITO E VIRGÍLIO: UM DIÁLOGO BUCÓLICO

RESUMO: Propõe-se o presente trabalho fazer um exame intertextual entre passagens de alguns Idílios de Teócrito e a Segunda Bucólica de Virgílio. Antes, porém, de serem analisados os elementos líricos e bucólicos e as semelhanças de expressão e de imagens entre os dois maiores expoentes do gênero bucólico, serão apresentadas, para melhor compreensão da poesia bucólica latina, algumas particularidades de composição dos poetas alexandrinos, em especial de Teócrito, que grande influência exerceu na formação literária de Virgílio, muito embora tenha a poesia pastoril recebido a marca, o timbre e o colorido do estilo pessoal do mantuano.

ABSTRACT: This study objectives to conduct an intertextual examination of excerpts from some Idylls by Theocritus and the Second Bucolic by Virgil. However, before analyzing the lyrical and bucolic elements and the similarities in expression and images between the greatest exponents of the bucolic genre, for a better understanding of the Latin bucolic poetry, some peculiarities in the work of Alexandrian poets will be presented, particularly Theocritus, who has exerted profound influence in Virgil’s literary education/ formation, although the pastoral poetry has received the quality, the tone and the color of the mantuan personal style.
