RODRIGUES NA EXPOSIÇÃO NACIONAL DE 1908

RESUMO: O presente artigo tem como objetivo apresentar algumas considerações sobre a participação
do Jardim Botânico do Rio de Janeiro na Exposição Nacional de 1908, na Urca. Ao definir o que entra e o
que fica de fora na exposição, o naturalista João Barbosa Rodrigues escolhe o Jardim que ele quer
apresentar na festa do centenário da Abertura dos Portos às Nações Amigas.

ABSTRACT: This article aims to present some thoughts about the presentation of the Botanical Garden
of Rio de Janeiro in the National Exhibition of 1908, in Urca. Upon defining what stays in and what stays
out on display, the naturalist João Barbosa Rodrigues chooses the Garden he wants to present on the
centennial celebration of the Opening of the Ports to the Friendly Nations.
