MEMÓRIA E CONTEMPLAÇÃO NO UNIVERSO DE
MARIO QUINTANA: DESLOCAMENTOS POR ESPAÇOS
E TEMPOS AMPLIADOS PELO IMAGINÁRIO POÉTICO

RESUMO: Este trabalho busca analisar as nuanças nas representações de espaço construído – a casa – presente na obra de Mario Quintana e de tempos rememorados ou imaginados por este poeta gaúcho. No recorte proposto, encontram-se os poemas produzidos no início da década de 1980, os quais afirmam a maturidade do poeta no trânsito entre universos reais e fantásticos, bem como sua permanente referência ao tempo passado. A casa de sua infância é maior que o mundo; ela remete a um ideal e a uma eterna busca. A pluralidade de imagens nos encaminha à leitura hermenêutica, através da compreensão das superposições entre espaços e tempos escritos no imaginário do poeta.

ABSTRACT:This work aims at analysing the subtleties in the representations of a constructed environment – the house – present in the works of the author Mario Quintana and from times remembered or imagined by this Brazilian poet native of Rio Grande do Sul. In the perspective proposed, the poems produced in the early 80’s can be found, which corroborate and affirm the poet’s maturity in terms of his transit between real and fantastic universes, as well as his permanent reference to past times. “His infancy’s space is bigger than the world”; it refers to an ideal and perennial quest. The plurality of images direct to the hermeneutical reading, through the comprehension and understanding of superimpositions of spaces and times registered in the poet’s imaginary.
