EM TEMPOS DE TERROR E OTIMISMO: O DISCURSO
AUTORITÁRIO NA IMPRENSA DE SERGIPE (1964-74)

RESUMO: Os discursos produzidos pela mídia brasileira durante os governos militares que se sucederam no Brasil pós-golpe de 1964, têm-se constituído importante fonte para compreensão das estratégias utilizadas pela fala dos “militares” para atuar no imaginário social dos brasileiros. Neste sentido, este artigo analisa a retórica do golpe na imprensa escrita de Sergipe entre os anos de 1964 e 1974, de modo a perceber os aspectos histórico-lingüísticos das alocuções políticas de apoio e/ou resistência ao regime militar. A observação dos jornais colaborou para identificar nos discursos a presença de dois momentos fundamentais: o de guerra lingüística contra o “avanço” comunista; e uma segunda fase, marcada pelas propagandas que visavam suscitar o otimismo entre os brasileiros através de mensagens de esperança no futuro do País, durante a era do “milagre econômico”.

ABSTRACT: The discourses made for Brazilian midia during the militar government that suceeded them in Brazil after 1964’ blow, have been constituting important subsidies to compression of the strategies used for military speak to act to act in the Brazilian’s social imaginary. Therefore, this article analyzes the blow’s rhetorical in the write press of Sergipe between 1964 and 1974’ years, of way to perceive the historical and linguistical aspects in the politics allocutions of the support and/or resistance to militar regime. The observation of the newspapers helped to identify in the discurses two moments: the first of linguistical war against the comunism and the second, marked for publicities that aim to suscitate the optimism between the optimism between the Brazilian through messages of the hope in the future of country, in the economic “miracle ideia”.
