RESUMO: O presente artigo possui como objetivo maior realizar uma descrição reflexiva de algumas
das principais representações elaboradas sobre a África no medievo europeu e durante a Idade Moderna,
sinalizando tanto para as especificidades das construções imaginárias como para suas conexões.

ABSTRACT: This article has as objective to achieve a more reflective description of some of the main
representations made on Africa in medieval Europe and during the Modern Age, signaling both to the
particularities of imaginary constructions and for their connections.
