MAS AFINAL, O QUE ERA MESMO O COMUNISMO? A SIGNIFICAÇÃO
DA PALAVRA “COMUNISMO” ATRAVÉS DOS TEXTOS
ANTICOMUNISTAS QUE CIRCULARAM NO PIAUÍ DA DÉCADA DE 1960

RESUMO: O objetivo deste artigo é analisar as principais significações dadas a palavra “comunismo” ao longo da década de 1960 através dos textos anticomunistas que foram produzidos e circularam no estado do Piauí. Permanências/rupturas é a melhor definição para essa significação, uma vez que algumas características atribuídas ao comunismo permanecerem durante toda a década de 1960, contudo, percebese que, também, outros elementos foram se modificando na sua significação determinada pelos contextos e acontecimentos sociais daquele momento na política brasileira e piauiense.

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this article is to analyze the main meanings given the word “communism” throughout the 1960’s decade through anti-communism texts that were produced and circulated in the state of Piauí. Permanence/ruptures is the best definition for that meaning, since some characteristics attributed to communism remain throughout the 1960’s decade, however, realizes that it, too, other factors were changing in its significance determined by social contexts and events that moment in brazilian politics and piauiense.
