FRAGMENTOS IDENTITÁRIOS: A LITERATURA COMO
NARRATIVA SENSÍVEL DO SUL PROFUNDO

RESUMO: Os caminhos da História e da Literatura têm se entrecruzado através do tempo e – nos últimos anos – se observa o nascimento de estudos teórico-metodológicos que buscam analisar e discutir esse tipo de abordagem. Trabalha-se em um diálogo com a ampla produção de Sandra Pesavento sobre os encontros entre esses dois campos de conhecimento, tendo em vista sua valiosa colaboração para o avanço dessa discussão. Compreender – na esfera das sensibilidades – as dinâmicas de produção de identidades, em um contexto entendido como “sul profundo”, a partir da análise de uma obra literária A casa das sete mulheres, é objeto central deste texto. Entende-se que a narrativa de Letícia Wierzchowski partilha de um fenômeno secular de construção de idéias-imagens sobre o Rio Grande do Sul e sobre o povo sul-rio-grandense e que esse processo formativo toma forma nas representações imagéticas que ela constrói sobre os gaúchos, a partir das diferentes personagens do romance.

ABSTRACT: Through the time, we observe the continuous cross between History and Literature paths and, in the last years, the birth of theoretical and methodological studies that try to analyse and discuss this kind of approach. We work particularly in a dialogue with the wide production of Sandra Pesavento about the meeting between this two knowledge fields, in respect to her important contribution to the progress of this discussion. Comprehend – in the sensibility sphere – the production of identities dynamics, in a context understood as a “profound south”, from the analysis of A casa das sete mulheres, is the main objective of this paper. We think that Letícia Wierzchowski’s narrative participate in a secular phenomenon of ideas-images construction about the Rio Grande do Sul and about this people. This formative process take shape in the representations that she builds about the gaúchos, from the different novel characters.
