A RELIGIOSIDADE CAIPIRA: A FESTA
DO DIVINO EM PIRACICABA

RESUMO: Este presente artigo faz parte de uma pesquisa de mestrado em andamento sobre a formação e expansão da cultura e do dialeto caipira em Piracicaba, região localizada no Estado de São Paulo. Sendo parte de uma pesquisa maior, procurou-se dar ênfase em apenas uma parte deste estudo, priorizando-se a experiência lúdico-religiosa vivenciada através da Festa do Divino em Piracicaba. Esta é uma festa lusobrasileira que de Portugal chegou ao Brasil carregada de simbolismo e significação, ficando conhecida por todas as regiões por onde passaram os bandeirantes. Outras manifestações culturais e religiosas, tais como o cururu e a congada, também estão presentes nesta festa e nelas podemos ver amalgamadas duas tradições, duas culturas diferentes que agora unidas fazem parte da cultura caipira de Piracicaba.

ABSTRACT: This present article is part of a master's degree research in process on the formation and expansion of the culture and caipira dialect in Piracicaba, located area in the State of São Paulo. Being part of a larger research, it tried to feel emphasis in just a part of this study, being prioritized the ludicreligious experience lived through the Divine’s party in Piracicaba. This is a Luso-Brazilian party that from Portugal it arrived to Brazil loaded of symbolism and significance, being known by all of the areas through where passed the pioneers. Other cultural and religious manifestations, such as the cururu and the congada, they are also present in this party and in them we can see amalgamated two traditions, two cultures different that now united are part of the caipira culture of Piracicaba.
