RESUMO: Trata-se de um estudo sobre as tensões no campo da música brasileira, na década de 1970 e a maneira singular como Raul Seixas se inseriu nos debates sobre sua época, favorecendo a popularização de temas como a vida em comunidades alternativas. Por fim, aponta-se a especificidade da obra de Raul Seixas enquanto lentes de conflitos históricos e culturais. Assim sendo, a grande tônica de sua obra foi a recusa às formas de existência e a construção de uma temporalidade própria para os anos 1970.
