ORÍGENES: UM ASCETA CONDESCENDENTE COM A
MATÉRIA. A AMBIGUIDADE ESPIRITUAL-MATERIAL
NA EXISTÊNCIA BEM-AVENTURADA

RESUMO: A natureza tão controversa das formulações filosófico-teológicas de Orígenes de Alexandria,
encontra, segundo nosso ponto de vista, um de seus maiores exemplos em suas especulações acerca da
condição e do estado da existência bem aventurada. Este lugar, diferentemente dos demais Padres da
Igreja, pode ser desde já especulado, segundo Orígenes. Constitui-se um lugar, ora indiferente a este
mundo fenomenológico, ora muito consoante a sua natureza e condições; ora desvinculado da imagem do
Paraíso Edênico, ora ele mesmo; ora um lugar de absoluta perfeição e estado espiritualizado, ora um lugar
de diversidade de perfeições e de categorias de existir. A aposcatástasis, já tão discutida, será aqui só a
porta de entrada para a problemática mais exasperada, e que ela mesma introduz: a do estado e da
condição da vida bem-aventurada em sua relação com a preexistência divina e com a existência mundana.

ABSTRACT: According to our point of view, one of the major examples of the very controversial nature
of philosophical-theological formulations of Origen of Alexandria is his speculations about the condition
and state of the blessed existence. To Origen this place can be speculated right now, differently of the
other Fathers of the Church. It can be a place either indifferent from the phenomenological world, or
connected to its nature and conditions. Sometimes it appears unrelated to the image of the Edenic
Paradise. Other times it corresponds itself. Sometimes it looks a place of absolute perfection and
spiritualized state. Other times it seems a place of diversity of perfections and categories of existence. The
much discussed aposcatastasis will be here only the gateway to a more exasperated issue, which
introduces itself: the state and condition of the blessed life in its relation with the divine preexistence and
with the secular existence.
