RESUMO: Eliade é mobilizado em nossa reflexão como um motivo para se levantar questões à teoria e à metodologia da história, visto por nós como campos indissociáveis. Procuramos, assim, refletir sobre o campo de experiência da perspectiva sintética a fim de construir questões sobre as condições de possibilidade para a elaboração de sínteses no contexto historiográfico atual. Nesta direção, buscaremos, na primeira parte do texto, perceber como Eliade procura de modo singular o refletir sobre questões próprias a seu campo. Na segunda parte, analisaremos as motivações expressas pelo autor para a elaboração de uma síntese. E por fim, procuraremos extrair algumas considerações e questões teóricas e metodológicas sobre a (im)possibilidade da escrita de uma síntese para o conhecimento histórico como um todo na contemporaneidade.

ABSTRACT: Eliade is mobilized in our reflection as a reason to raise questions in the theory and methodology of history, seen by us as inseparable fields. We seek, therefore, reflect on the experience from the synthetic perspective of the field to build questions about the conditions of possibility for the elaboration of syntheses on current historiographical context. In this direction, we will seek in the first part of the text, realize how Eliade seeks on own way reflect on their own issues reflect to their own field.
In the second part, we analyze the motivations expressed by the author for the preparation of a synthesis. And finally, try to draw some considerations and theoretical and methodological questions about the (im) possibility of writing a synthesis of historical knowledge in contemporary society as a whole.
