RESUMO: O artigo discute a intersecção de imagens de álbuns de família feitas pela pintura, literatura e
fotografia. A partir de textos literários do Romantismo às primeiras décadas do século XX e de imagens
do pintor modernista Alberto da Veiga Guignard (1896-1962), pretende-se refletir sobre a caracterização
da pose, típica da fotografia, construída pela literatura e retomada pela pintura, como traço relevante na
configuração de brasilidade.

ABSTRACT: The article discusses the intersection of images of family photo albums done by painting,
literature, and photography. On the basis of literary texts – from Romanticism to the early decades of the
XX century – and of images of the modernist painter Alberto da Veiga Guignard (1896-1962), it intends
to reflect upon the characterisation of pose, typical of photography, built by literature and reclaimed by
painting, as a relevant feature in the shaping of the Brazilian culture.
