Memória, monumentos e usos do passado no Zimbábue
o caso do National Heroes’ Acre (décadas de 1980-2000)

O artigo analisa a narrativa visual do National Heroes’ Acre, destacando os processos de construção da memória nacional e monumentalização do passado para fins políticos no Zimbábue entre as décadas de 1980 e 2000. Na primeira parte, discute os processos de descolonização e o papel da ZANU-PF na elaboração de discursos nacionalistas e usos do passado. Em seguida, dialogando com os conceitos de "lugares de memória" e "enquadramentos de memória", investiga a criação de uma narrativa teleológica que glorifica a ZANU-PF e Robert Mugabe como protagonistas da história zimbabuense.
