História das Sensibilidades, Lucien Febvre, Marc Bloch, Emoções, HistoriografiaAbstract
This text presents the dossier dedicated to the History of Sensibilities, a historiographical field consolidated in recent decades that requires specific methods for approaching emotional experiences over time. Starting from Lucien Febvre's pioneering proposition (1941) regarding the historical, ambiguous, and contradictory nature of affects, this work engages with contributions from scholars such as Alain Corbin and Barbara Rosenwein in building this research agenda. Beyond theoretical and methodological discussions, the text analyzes the controversy between Febvre and Marc Bloch concerning the direction of the journal Annales during the Nazi occupation of France, re-evaluating this episode through the lens of sensibilities and the impact of affective tensions on intellectual practice. Finally, it introduces the articles comprising the dossier, whose topics encompass care for the states of the soul in Iberian medieval medicine, 17th-century epistolary exchanges, cordel literature in Republican Brazil, memory preservation in Maracatu, academic disputes at UFPB in the 1980s, and the impact of 9/11 trauma in contemporary cinema
