Abstract

The main goal of this paper is to discuss the circulation of illuminated manuscripts in the 14th century nobility applied to a specific manuscript: the Luttrell Psalter (c. 1330-1345), a Psalter made under the direct commission of Sir Geoffrey Luttrell (1276-1345), an English knight with considerable influence on the manuscript’s imagery. As we concluded, the psalter’s images were reused and re-signified later by various nobles, something that could not be stopped by its marked personalization.

Possui graduação em Ciências Econômicas pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá (1986), graduação em História pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá (1992), Mestrado em História pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2000) e Doutorado em História pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2007). Atualmente é professor Associado da Universidade Estadual de Maringá. Trabalha no Departamento de História na área de História Medieval. É membro do corpo docente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em História (PPH-UEM), atuando na linha de pesquisa: História, Cultura e Narrativas, e do Mestrado Profissional em Ensino de História (PROFHISTÓRIA), na linha: Linguagens e Narrativas Históricas - Produção e Difusão. É Coordenador do LEM - Laboratório de Estudos Medievais. Realiza pesquisas e orientações nos seguintes temas: Nobreza Medieval; Cavalaria Medieval; Guerra na Idade Média; Reinos de Castela e Leão na Idade Média (Reinados de Fernando III e Alfonso X, o Sábio); Literatura e Viagens na Idade Média; Economia Medieval (Comércio, Mercadores e Cultura Mercantil) e Ensino, Pesquisa e Aprendizagem em Idade Média.
