Abstract

The paper aims to understand the sensitivity of this autobiographical memory in a guerrilla survivor, in the conflict known as the Araguaia Guerrilla that has been in northern Brazil, in the State of Pará (1972-1974), during the military dictatorship in Brazil (1964-1985). Conflict led by the Communist Party of Brazil (PCdoB) and undertaken by university students of which few survived. The argument used is that the autobiographical memory in addition to being an account of itself, it configures itself as a relation of the subject / narrator with each other, with the world of life. This relationship is expressed through feelings, sensitivity, so it is a sensible construction of the narrator and the world in which he lives. Methodologically, we will seek to identify and understand the sensitivity of the narrator expressed in narratives of survivors and documents, form of human relating and interacting with others.

Author Biography

Cléria Botêlho da Costa, Universidade de Brasília – UnB

PhD em História pela Universidade de Londres (1998) e doutora em História pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em História Social da Universidade de São Paulo (1993). Atualmente é Professora Associada 1 no Departamento de História da Universidade de Brasília. Nesta mesma Instituição, é credenciada no Programa de Pós-Graduação em História e no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Direitos Humanos e Cidadania.
